Motivation is the key of a successful company to maintain the continuity and help company to survive. Once the company is able to identify employees‟ needs, then they will be motivated to work effectively to achieve the goals of the organization. The objective of this study is to to know whether there is the impact of motivation on employee performance in Wak Uduk. According to Omolo (2015, p.88), motivation is about giving your staff the right mixture of guidance, direction, resources and rewards so that they are inspired and keen to work in the way that the company want them to. The methods used by the writer in this research is descriptive method and correlational method. The type of research used is quantitative research. Data analysis methods used in this research are descriptive statistic, coefficient of correlation, coefficient of determination, linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing using Z test. Based on research result, the conclusion of this research is that motivation has a significant effect on employee performance on Wak Uduk. Zcount (5.11) is higher than Ztable (1.96). Coefficient of correlation is is 0.904. This means that there is a strong and positive relationship between motivation and employee performance in Wak Uduk Medan. Coefficient of determination is 81,7%. That is, 81.7% change in employee performance can be explained by motivation. The linear regression equation is Y = 8.090 + 1.441 X. It shows that increasing of 1 unit motivation can make employee performance improvement in 1,441 units.
