The role of leadership in family business is very crucial, especially through the conducted leadership style. PT. Handa Terminal is a family business that conducts democratic leadership style. Today’s leaders need to work cooperatively with their peers and recognize the collective strength generated through collaboration. By implying democratic leadership, both employees and leaders could share qualified opinion and resulting in an advantageous situation. Every situation and workflow in a company depends on the leader, followed by the employee’s contribution and the process of meeting the customer’s expectations. The highlighted topic in this research is the leadership style that leads the employee to do well in meeting customers’ expectations in order to achieve the expected sales performance. This research implemented quantitative and descriptive analysis method by collecting data from the questionnaires and the company itself. The sample in this research is 32 employees. The data obtained are valid, reliable, and normal. The variables’ correlation value is 0,728 and determination test result is 53%.
