Latar Belakang: Menurut jurnal-jurnal sebelumnya, mahasiswa kepaniteraan klinik memiliki jumlah kejadian burnout yang tinggi. Telah dilaporkan mengenai hubungan jenis kepribadian ekstroversi dengan kejadian burnout pada mahasiswa kedokteran tahap pre klinik, namun belum banyak diteliti hubungan 2 variabel tersebut pada mahasiswa kepaniteraan klinik. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis kepribadian ekstroversi dengan kejadian burnout pada mahasiswa kepaniteraan klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan jumlah sampel 106 mahasiswa kepaniteraan klinik di Fakultas Kedokteran UPH / Siloam Hospital Lippo Karawaci. Sampel diambil secara convenience sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi. Pengambilan data dilakukan berdasarkan kuesioner The Big Five Inventory (BFI) dan Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Data akan diolah dengan analisis uji Chi Square menggunakan SPSS 24.0 dengan derajat kepercayaan 95% (P <0,05). Hasil: 27 dari 106 responden mengalami burnout. Jenis kepribadian ekstroversi memiliki sifat protektif terhadap kejadian burnout (OR: 0.073, P value <0.05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan negatif antara jenis kepribadian ekstroversi dengan kejadian burnout./Background: Based on previous studies, clerkship has high prevalence of burnout. Also it has been reported regarding the correlation between extroversion and burnout in preclinical medical student, however not plenty of them have done the research on those 2 variables among clerkship. Aim: To investigate the correlation between personality traits of extroversion to burnout in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Pelita Harapan clerkship. Method: This experiment used analytic categoric design with sample of 106 people in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Pelita Harapan / Siloam Hospital Lippo Karawaci. The sample was taken by convenience sampling that match the inclusion criteria. The data was based on The Big Five Inventory (BFI) and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). The data was retrieved in the period of January-May 2020. The results were processed using Chi Square test analysis and data analysis were carried out using SPSS 24.0 with 95% of confidence interval (p <0,05). Results: Twenty-seven of 106 subjects were burnout. Extroversion has a protective effect to against burnout (OR: 0.073, P value <0.05). Conclusion: Extroversion has a negative correlation with burnout.
