Abstract
Background : Dry eyes are a growing health problem with increasing incidence. This number has recently increased in individuals of productive age. An increase in the incidence of dry eye syndrome at productive age associated with the use of digital devices. However, a study conducted at the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University in 2019 showed that there was no significant correlation between smartphone use and dry eyes. The difference in the two journals above shows there are still problems that have not been clearly revealed. Objective : This research was conducted with the aim to see the relationship of nomophobia to dry eye syndrome. Hypothesis : There is a relationship between nomophobia and dry eye syndrome in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan. Methods : This study used a cross-sectional study design on 189 students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan who met the research criteria.
