Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the comparison of the health level of BCA and Bank Mandiri in 2014-2018. The research on the level of bank health and its development includes factors: capital, asset quality, management, earnings, and liquidity or called the CAMEL method. This type of research is a case study, where data is obtained from documentation published by Bank Indonesia and Financial Reports from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The technique of data analysis used in this study is the CAMEL method which consists of five components: capital, asset quality, management, earnings, and liquidity. A bank is said to be "HEALTHY" if the bank can help expedite payment traffic and can assist the government in carrying out its policies, especially policies in the monetary sector. From the results of research on the soundness of banks using the CAMEL method between Bank BCA and Bank Mandiri in 2014 to 2018, it can be concluded that PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk declared healthier with the acquisition of CAMEL credit scores from 2014 to 2018 which are stable every year, with an average of 94%, which according to Bank Indonesia regulations, a commercial bank can get the title "HEALTHY" if the value credit between 81% -100%.
