Abstract
The poor quality of sleep of students of the Faculty of Medicine has become a global urgency that has an impact on the low number of good health resources in the future. This is due to the adverse effects on academic performance and memory consolidation that occurs when a person has poor sleep quality. Lately, many studies have focused on the Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR), which is video and audio associated with a reduction in stress, depression and also a decrease in heart rate which will indirectly improve the quality of one's sleep. The purpose of this study was to assess whether there is a correlation between the use of ASMR audio before going to sleep to sleep quality. This study used a randomized intervention study method with controls on 33 respondents of the Faculty of Medicine students of Pelita Harapan University who met the research criteria and were processed using SPSS 24.0 software with unpaired T- test.
From the results of the study it was found that the use of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response audio significantly influenced the sleep quality of medical students.
