Abstract

Pembelajaran yang efektif dan kondusif dapat terjadi jika siswa disiplin selama pembelajaran dan guru dapat mengontrol kelas secara konsisten melalui penerapan peraturan dan prosedur kelas. Namun berdasarkan hasil observasi di salah satu sekolah di Sangihe, menunjukkan bahwa guru kurang konsisten dalam menerapkan peraturan dan prosedur kelas, akibatnya siswa kurang disiplin selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru Kristen dalam membentuk disiplin siswa melalui peraturan dan prosedur kelas dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Disiplin merupakan sikap yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap orang, termasuk siswa. Iman Kristen melihat disiplin sebagai bagian dari proses pemuridan dan guru Kristen merupakan pribadi yang bertanggung jawab dalam menjalankan disiplin. Melalui disiplin siswa dididik untuk hidup dalam kekudusan dan menjalani proses pemulihan agar semakin serupa dengan Kristus. Kesimpulan mengenai peran guru Kristen dalam menerapkan peraturan dan prosedur kelas yang tepat untuk membentuk disiplin siswa, yaitu: merancang peraturan dan prosedur kelas yang jelas, sesuai dengan standar sekolah dan didasari atas kebenaran firman Tuhan, tidak bersifat otoriter tetapi menyatakan kasih, memberikan batasan, peringatan, teguran, dan larangan jika diperlukan tetapi tidak melakukan kekerasan fisik. Saran bagi guru dapat menerapkan peraturan dan prosedur kelas yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan kelas dan dijelaskan diawal pembelajaran, bagi para peneliti dapat membahas hubungan disiplin dengan tahap-tahap perkembangan anak dan peran orang tua. / Effective and conducive learning can occur if students are disciplined during learning and the teacher can consistently control the class through the application of classroom rules and procedures. However, based on the results of observations in one school in Sangihe, it shows that teachers are less consistent in implementing classroom rules and procedures, as a result students are less disciplined during learning. This paper aims to examine the role of Christian teachers in shaping student discipline through classroom rules and procedures using descriptive qualitative methods. Discipline is an attitude that everyone, including students, must have. Christian faith sees discipline as part of the discipleship process and Christian teachers are the ones who are responsible for exercising discipline. Through discipline, students are educated to live in holiness and undergo a process of restoration to become more like Christ. Conclusions regarding the role of Christian teachers in implementing appropriate classroom rules and procedures to form student discipline, namely: designing clear classroom rules and procedures, in accordance with school standards and based on the truth of God's word, are not authoritarian but express love, provide limits, warnings, reprimands, and prohibitions if necessary but do not commit physical violence. Suggestions for teachers to apply classroom rules and procedures according to class needs and are explained at the beginning of the lesson, and for the researchers can discuss the relationship of discipline with the stages of child development and the role of parents.
