Abstract
Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Indonesia memberlakukan pembelajaran daring sebagai cara alternatif untuk tetap melaksanakan pembelajaran, walaupun pelaksanaannya dilakukan tidak bertatap muka secara langsung dikarenakan adanya kasus positif pandemi COVID-19. Dalam pembelajaran daring, keterlibatan siswa sangat penting untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Keterlibatan siswa dapat ditandai dengan respons antara siswa dengan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. Faktanya, permasalahan yang sering ditemui pada pengalaman mengajar daring yaitu kurangnya keterlibatan siswa secara aktif pada pembelajaran daring. Kurangnya keterlibatan siswa bukan disebabkan oleh siswa yang kurang mampu dalam menghadapi aktivitas pembelajaran, tetapi kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru sebagai motivator belajar terhadap keterlibatan aktif siswa pada pembelajaran daring. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil kajian literatur ini menyatakan bahwa peran guru sebagai motivator belajar dapat membantu siswa untuk terlibat aktif selama proses pembelajaran daring. Strategi guru dalam memberikan motivasi belajar yaitu menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dengan jelas, beri teladan serta semangat dalam mengerjakan setiap tugas, mendorong siswa untuk belajar dari kesalahan, dan membuat suasana kelas yang variasi serta interaktif. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengkaji mengenai faktor-faktor lain yang memengaruhi siswa untuk terlibat aktif pada proses pembelajaran daring dan membahas mengenai peran motivasi terhadap hasil belajar. / The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture enforces online learning as an alternative way to continue carrying out teaching and learning, even though its carried out not face to face because the COVID-19 pandemic. In online learning, student involvement is an important thing to achieve learning goals. It can be indicated by the response between students and teachers in implementing online learning. The problem in online teaching experiences is the lack of student active involvement. That is not caused by students who are less capable of dealing with learning activities, but a lack of student motivation. Thus, this paper aims to describe the teacher’s roles as a motivator for students in the online learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results are the teacher’s role as a motivator help students to be active during the online learning. The teacher's strategy in providing learning motivation is to convey the learning objectives, give examples, and enthusiasm in doing tasks, encourage students to learn from mistakes, create varied, and interactive classroom atmosphere. Suggestions for further researchers is to examine other factors that influence students to be actively involved in the online learning and discuss the role of motivation in learning outcomes.
