Abstract

Latar belakang: Acne vulgaris, meskipun tidak mengancam jiwa, acne vulgaris menyebabkan morbiditas yang signifikan, termasuk depresi, kecemasan, dan stres psikososial, dan merupakan penyebab utama gangguan psikososial dan psikologis bagi kaum muda, memicu kecemasan dan gangguan mood dan mempengaruhi harga diri. Dua penelitian besar telah menunjukkan adanya kecemasan, depresi, dan ide bunuh diri.Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya skrining dan rujukan psikiatri yang tepat.Yang terpenting, dampak acne vulgaris pada kehidupan pasien sering tidak bergantung dengan tingkat keparahan, sehingga beberapa pasien dengan jerawat yang minimal mengalami tekanan psikologis dan psikososial.Dari penelitian – penelitian yang telah di lakukan hampir semua mendapatkan hasil bahwa acne vulgaris berhubungan dengan kualitas hidup. Di Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui prevalensi kulitas hidup yang terganggu yang disebabkan oleh acne vulgaris, khususnya pada mahasiswa UPH 2017 - 2019. Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara acne vulgaris terhadap kualitas hidup dan untuk mengetahui prevalensi kualitas hidup yang terganggu akibat acne vulgaris pada mahasiswa UPH angkatan 2017-2019. Metode penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi potong lintang dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 55 mahasiswa UPH angkatan 2017 – 2019yang diambil secara non-probabilitas kuotamemenuhi kriteria inklusi serta kriteria eksklusi. Hasil Analisis Data: Data didapatkan dari 105 responden menggunakan kuesioner DLQI dan GAGS. Data diolah menggunakan uji chi square. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hasil yang signifikan antara acne vulgaristerhadap kualitas hiduppada mahasiswa Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan p value 0.009. Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara acne vulgaristerhadap kualitas hiduppada mahasiswa Universitas Pelita Harapan. / Background: Acne vulgaris, although not life threatening, acne leads to significant morbidity, including depression, anxiety, and psychosocial stress, and is a major cause of psychosocial and psychological impairment for young people, triggering anxiety and mood disorders and affecting self-esteem. two large studies have shown that anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. These findings highlight the importance of appropriate psychiatric screening and referral.Importantly, the impact of acne on patients’ lives was often independent of severity, such that some patients with only minimal acne experience psychological and psychosocial distress. From the studies that have been done, almost all get the results that acne vulgaris is related to quality of life. Therefore, further research is needed to find out the low prevalence of quality of life caused by acne vulgaris, especially in UPH 2017-2019 students. Purpose: This study aims to know correlation between acne vulgaris on quality of life and to know the prevalence of impaired quality of life due to acne vulgaris in UPH 2017-2019 students. Method: The study design of this study was cross-sectional with 55 UPH 2017 – 2019 students as respondents. The respondents were taken using non-probability sample size and fulfill the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Result: Data obtained from 105 respondents using DLQI questionnaire and GAGS. The data was analyzed using chi square method. This research shows that there is significant correlation between acne vulgaris and quality of life on students of Universitas Pelita Harapan with p value 0.009. Conclusion: There is significant positive correlation between acne vulgaris and quality of life on students of Universitas Pelita Harapan.
