Abstract

Penulis melaksanakan magang jurnalistik selama empat bulan terhitung dari 20 Mei 2013 sampai dengan 20 September 2013. Pelaksanaan magang dilakukan di majalah Gadis, yakni majalah remaja putri terbitan Femina Group, PT. Gaya Favorit Press. Laporan magang jurnalistik ini menjelaskan kegiatan administratif dan operasional penulis di majalah Gadis dan juga Gadis online serta proses pembuatan tulisan feature. Kegiatan utamanya yaitu menulis feature, wawancara, dan peliputan, Dalam magang ini, penulis menyadari bahwa teori-teori komunikasi seperti Uncertainty Reduction Theory, Narrative Paradigm, Uses and Gratification Theory relevan dengan kerja magang ini. Penulis juga membandingkan konsep yang didapat selama masa perkuliahan dan mengaplikasikannya ke dalam dunia kerja. Penggunaan teori-teori komunikasi tersebut berguna pula untuk menjelaskan dan memberikan evaluasi terhadap fenomena-fenomena selama kegiatan magang dalam rangka perbaikan terhadap praktik jurnalistik di Gadis Online / The writer implemented journalism internship during the four months starting from 20 May 2013 to 20 September 2013. Implementation of internship was done in Gadis Magazine, a teenage magazine especially for girls published by Femina Group, PT. Gaya Favorit Press. This journalism internship report describes the operational and administrative activities of the write in Gadis magazine, rubrik gaul Gadis online and the process of writing feature which includes interviews and coverages. During this internship, the writer acknowledges that theories of communication such as Uncertainty Reduction Theory, Narrative Paradigm and Uses and Gratification Theory in this field of work. The writer also compares the lesson with the lesson that the writer gets in university by practicing in fields. Those communication theories were also useful in explaining and evaluating phenomena during the internship in order to make improvements for rubrik Gaul Gadis Online
