Abstract

School has started to have online learning due to COVID-19. However, many students face challenges as students need to adapt with the new environment of online learning. The data was collected during the learning process of the second internship of the researcher in order to support the recent studies. As students are God’s image, therefore students need to recognize their role and to deeply understand the importance of community building, so students will be able to live in a community to become one body in Christ. This qualitative paper aims to promote flipped classroom as the solution to overcome students challenges and foster students’ sense of community. Through flipped classroom, students show a significant improvement in interacting with the members of the class. In addition, the improvement of interaction among students has proven to overcome students’ stress level during online learning as flipped classroom provides more space for students to interact during the class session. Therefore, in brief flipped classroom will be ideal if both teacher and students can cooperate well during the learning process even though with the limitation in online learning.
