Abstract

Latar Belakang Kejang demam adalah penyakit yang sering dijumpai pada anak. Prognosis kejang demam umumnya baik, namun kejang dapat memiliki dampak terhadap kualitas hidup pada orang tua, yang meliputi domain fisik, psikologis, sosial dan kognitif. Kualitas hidup sering dikaitkan dengan perkembangan individu untuk menunjukkan kondisi seseorang dalam kehidupan sehari – harinya. Tujuan Mengevaluasi kualitas hidup orangtua dengan anak yang memiliki riwayat kejang demam sederhana maupun kompleks Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional dan purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari pasien Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village yang telah mengisi Pediatric Quality of Life Questionnaire 2.0 Parents Proxy. Skor yang lebih rendah mengindikasikan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik. Data kemudian diolah menggunakan program SPSS 22. Distribusi data akan diobservasi dengan Shapiro-Wilk test. Jika sebaran data normal maka akan data di uji dengan independent T-test, dan jika sebaran data tidak normal maka data akan di uji dengan Whitney-Mann test. Hasil Dipoleh sebanyak 40 responden (n = 24 KDS, n = 16 KDK) yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusif. Hasil analisa dengan metode Mann – Whitney tidak menunjukkan nilai yang signifikan secara statistik antara responden dengan subjek KDS (19.08) dan KDK (22.63). Seluruh domain kuesioner juga tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Hasil power analysis menunjukkan nilai dibawah 80% yang berarti kesimpulan dari penelitian masih belum konklusif. Kesimpulan Tidak terdapat perbedaan kualitas hidup yang signifikan antara orangtua dengan anak yang memiliki riwayat kejang demam sederhana maupun orangtua dengan anak yang memiliki riwayat kejang demam kompleks. Kata kunci: kejang demam, kualitas hidup, PedsQL / Background Febrile seizure is a disease that is often occurring in children. The prognosis is generally good, but seizures can have a number of impacts on the quality of life of parents, which includes physical, psychological, social, and cognitive domains. Quality of life is often associated with the development of an individual to show a person's condition in his daily life. Aim To evaluate the quality of life of parents with children who have a history of simple or complex febrile seizures Method This study uses a cross sectional approach and purposive sampling. Data were obtained from patients of Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Village who had filled in the Pediatric Quality of Life Questionnaire 2.0 Parents Proxy. A lower score indicates better quality of life. The data is then processed using SPSS 22 program. Data distribution will be observed with the Shapiro-Wilk test. If data distribution is normal then the data will be tested with independent T-test, and if data distribution is not normal then the data will be tested with Whitney-Mann test. Results A total of 40 respondents (n = 24 KDS, n = 16 KDK) who have met the inclusive criteria were obtained. The results of analysis using Mann – Whitney test did not show statistically significant values between respondents with simple febrile seizure (19.08) and complex febrile seizure (22.63). All of the questionnaire domains also did not show significant difference. The result of power analysis shows a value below 80% which means the conclusions of the study are still not conclusive. Conclusion There is no significant difference in quality of life between parents with children who have a history of simple febrile seizures and parents with children who have a history of complex febrile seizures.
