Abstract

Guru merupakan pribadi yang berperan aktif dalam dunia pendidikan. Guru memiliki tanggung jawab untuk mengajar dan menbimbing anak usia dini agar memiliki karakter yang baik sesuai dengan iman Kristen. Kedisiplinan penting untuk diterapkan dari sejak anak usia dini, karena masa ini merupakan masa yang sedang optimal dan paling efektif dalam proses pembentukan perilaku anak. Salah satu tanggung jawab guru adalah melatih anak usia dini untuk menerapakan kedisiplinan dengan diberikan teguran dan pendekatan bagi yang belum melakukan kedisiplinan dengan baik, serta pujian bagi siswa yang sudah menerapkan kedisiplinan agar dapat menjadi contoh untuk siswa lainnya. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan kualitatif deskriptif. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru Kristen dalam menerapkan kedisiplinan bagi siswa PAUD yang sesuai dengan iman Kristiani. Guru dalam menerapkan kedisiplinan pada anak usia dini tidak dengan kekerasan, tekanan, dan paksaan karena akan memberikan dampak yang negatif bagi siswa PAUD. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan penulis bahwa teguran, pendekatan, dan pujian dapat dilakukan dengan efektif sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia dini dalam memudahkan mereka menemukan solusi dari masalah kurang disiplin anak. Guru disarankan dalam menerapkan kedisiplinan pada anak usia dini dilakukan menurut iman Kristen dan dimulai dari diri sendiri. Kata Kunci: Guru Kristen, Kedisiplinan, Mengajar, Membimbing, Iman Kristen/ Teachers are individuals who play an active role in the world of education. Teachers have the responsibility to teach and guide early childhood to have good character according to the Christian faith. It is important to apply discipline from early childhood because this period is the optimal and most effective period in the process of shaping children’s behavior. One of the responsibilities of the teacher is to train early childhood to apply discipline by being given a warning and approach for those who have not properly disciplined, as well as praise for students who have applied discipline so that they can be an example for other students. Christian teachers are God’s servants who become important agents between students and God who are given the gift of teaching and guide students to apply discipline as God wills. Teachers in implementing discipline in early childhood do not use violence, pressure, and coercion because it will have a negative impact on PAUD students. Reprimand, approach, and praise can be carried out effectively according to the characteristics of early childhood in making it easier for them to find solutions to the problem of children’s lack of discipline.
