Abstract

Latar Belakang: Demam dengue adalah penyakit yang ditularkan oleh gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti yang terinfeksi dari salah satu dari empat virus dengue (DenV-1, DenV-2, DenV-3, dan DenV-4). Kasus demam dengue terus meningkat disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Oleh karena itu, fokus pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku, dan praktik pada mahasiswa profesi kedokteran dan mahasiswa profesi keperawatan terhadap demam dengue di Universitas Pelita Harapan. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingkan tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku dan praktik pada mahasiswa profesi kedokteran dan mahasiswa profesi keperawatan terhadap demam dengue. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian menggunakan studi analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan design studi potong lintang. Pengambilan data dari jumlah sampel sebanyak 144 menggunakan kuesioner yang dilaksanakan pada Januari 2020. Data akan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Chi Square dan menggunakan SPSS 25. Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil, 42 orang (77.8%) mahasiswa profesi kedokteran memiliki tingkat pengetahun tinggi dan 12 orang (22.2%) mahasiswa profesi keperawatan memiliki tingkat pengetahuan tinggi terhadap demam dengue. Perilaku netral mahasiswa profesi kedokteran terhadap demam dengue berjumlah 15 orang (42.9%) dan perilaku netral mahasiswa profesi keperawatan terhadap demam dengue berjumlah 20 orang (57.1%) dengan OR 0.437 (95% CI : 0.679-3.149). Mahasiswa profesi kedokteran yang memiliki praktik sedang berjumlah 57 orang (79.2%) dan mahasiswa profesi keperawatan yang memiliki praktik sedang berjumlah 56 orang (77.8%) dengan OR 1.000 (95% CI : 0.416 – 0.040). Kesimpulan: Ada perbedaan signifikan antara mahasiswa profesi kedokteran dan mahasiswa profesi keperawatan dalam pengetahuan, dengan mahasiswa profesi kedokteran mendapat skor lebih tinggi daripada mahasiswa profesi keperawatan. Tidak ada korelasi yang ditemukan untuk perilaku dan praktik untuk kedua profesi. Kata Kunci : Demam dengue, pengetahuan, perilaku, praktik / Background: Dengue fever is a disease transmitted by the bite of an Aedes aegypti mosquito that has been infected with one of the four dengue viruses (DenV-1, DenV-2, DenV-3, and DenV-4). Cases of dengue fever continue to increase due to lack of knowledge and understanding of clean and healthy living behaviour. Therefore, the focus of this research is to determine the level of knowledge, attitude, practice in medical profession students and nursing profession students on dengue fever at Pelita Harapan University. Aim: This research was conducted with the aim to compare the level of knowledge, attitude and practice in medical profession students and nursing profession students against dengue fever. Method: This study uses a comparative categorical analytic study without pairs with cross-sectional study design. Data was collected from a total sample of 144 people using questionnaire that was conducted in January 2020. Data was analysed using the Chi Square statistical test with SPSS 25. Result: 42 (77.8%) medical professional students had a high level of knowledge and 12 (22.2%) nursing professional students had a high level of knowledge about dengue fever. Medical profession students has a neutral attitude of 15 people (42.9%) against dengue fever while nursing profession students has a neutral attitude of 20 people (57.1%) with an OR 0.437 (95% CI: 0.679-3.149). 57 students of the medical profession students have moderate practice (79.2%) and 56 students of the nursing profession students have moderate practice with an OR of 1,000 (95% CI: 0.416 - 0.040). Conclusion: There was a significant difference between medical profession students and nursing profession students in the knowledge variable, with medical students scoring higher than the nursing.
