Abstract
Disruption of sleep quality is very influential on the quality of life of a person. One that is affected by poor sleep quality is an increase in blood pressure. This can eventually lead to cardiovascular disorders such as prolonged hypertension. Sleep quality degradation can be caused by various trigger factors, one of which can come from work environment factors. The work-from-home (WFH) regulations that were required during the COVID-19 pandemic caused a change in work time and give new pressures that can affect the sleep quality of the labours.
This research is using unpaired categorical comparative analytic study and conducted by a cross sectional study design. The sample of the study amounted 48 people, consist of work-from-home (WFH) labours during COVID-19 pandemic. The result showed that 15 of the 48 samples (31.25%) had good sleep quality and 33 samples (68.75%) of them had poor sleep quality. Statistical result using the Chi-Square test showed that there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure with a p value of 0.018 and RR (95% CI) of 5.143 (1.339- 19.757).
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure.
