Inheritance law is a series of provisions which regulates the material consequences of a person's death, specifically in the act of inheritance from a deceased person to their heir or a legal third party. Inheritance is regulated in the provisions of the Civil Code. However, if an inheritment process is incorrectly, the said inheritance can be reduced or even lost by the legal heir. This thesis dissects the problem of the proper inheritance rights that should be obtained by the legitimate heirs who were harmed in these inheritance disputes Public Court Decision No. 107/Pdt.G/2014/PN.JktSel, High Court Decision No. 381/Pdt/2016/PT.DKI, and Supreme Court Decision No. 2843 K/Pdt/2017 and the problem of the correct inheritance distribution procedure to substitute heirs in the disputes of District Court Decision No. 107/Pdt.G/2014/PN.JktSel, High Court Decision No. 381/Pdt/2016/PT.DKI, and Supreme Court Decision No. 2843 K/Pdt/2017, reviewed by the Civil Code. The purpose of this research is to find out, understand and analyze the calculation and distribution of the inheritance from a deceased person to their heirs. This research uses Normative Law Research Method and Constitutional and Case Approaches. The materials needed are obtained by the literature study method. Based on the results of the research, it's proven that in civil law, the legal child of a deceased person has full inheritance rights, and the distribution of inheritance for every heir must be equal in size to avoid harming any heir's rights.
