Abstract

Korea Selatan merupakan salah satu dari negara maju di Asia yang terkenal di seluruh dunia karena keindahan dan keunikan budayanya. Salah satu contoh dari produk budaya Korea Selatan yang mendunia dan juga terkenal di Indonesia merupakan film PARASITE yang berhasil memenangkan piala OSCAR dan festival film CANNES. PARASITE sebagai sebuah film dapat menjadi suatu media komunikasi karena dalam film terdapat gambar – gambar bergerak yang dapat disusun sedemikian rupa untuk menyampaikan pesan yang dimaksud oleh pembuat film. Film PARASITE berusaha menggambarkan adanya berbagai kesenjangan antara masyarakat kelas atas dan masyarakat kelas bawah melalui majas paradoks dalam berbagai adegan dalam film ini. Film ini menggunakan adegan – adegan untuk menggambarkan realitas mengenai kehidupan di Korea Selatan kepada para penonton. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode semiotika Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini berfokus pada 28 adegan yang disandingkan menjadi 14 perbandingan mengenai berbagai kesenjangan yang berusaha digambarkan keluarga kaya dan keluarga miskin. Melalui analisis terhadap petanda, penanda, makna denotasi, dan makna konotasi peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat sembilan poin penggambaran Korea Selatan yang sesungguhnya dari film PARASITE, seperti adanya kesenjangan ekonomi, kesenjangan teknologi, kesulitan warga miskin mencari pekerjaan di Korea Selatan, penggambaran penokohan orang Korea Selatan, dan lainnya. Berdasarkan sembilan poin di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa film PARASITE Korea Selatan tidak semewah dan seglamor yang diketahui banyak orang. / South korea is one of the developed countries in asia that is well-known in all over the world because of its beauty and contemplate the their culture .One of the examples of south korea culture is PARASITE film who managed to win the Oscar and Xannes film festival. As a film PARASITE can be a medium of communication because in the film there are pictures moving pictures who may convey a message that is referred to by filmmaker . PARASITE sought to paint the existence of different the gap between society and the community class that through majas paradox in various stages of undress in the film. PARASITE used scene a scene for describing reality about life in south korea to the audience . Researcher use the qualitative approach through a method of roland barthes semiotics. This research focuses on 28 scene paired into 14 comparison of various described the gap of poor and wealthy family reality of South Korea. Through an analysis of signifier, signified , denotative, and connotative meaning, researchers concluded that there are nine depiction of South Korea through PARASITE, such as the existence of economic gap , technology gap, the difficulty of employment opportunities for poor people, the depiction of South Koreans looks, and other. Based on nine points above it can be concluded that film director wants to convey that South korea is not glamorous and fancy as known by many people.
