Abstract

Media massa mengkonstruksikan sebuah peran gender sehingga berkembang dan membuat sebuah penggambaran dalam peerspektf gender di masyarakat. Dalam film Dua Garis Biru (2019) peneliti melihat dengan jelas adanya perbedaan perlakuan antara laki-laki dan perempuan yang membentuk konstruksi pemaknaan gender sehingga peneliti bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa jauh pemaknaan gender dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills untuk gambaran terhadap pemaknaan perempuan dan laki-laki dalam film Dua Garis Biru (2019). Metode analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills memlalui posisi subjek-objek aktor dalam film serta posisi penonton dengan memilih adegan-adegan yang terlihat adanya ketidaksetaraan gender dan mengkaitkan dengan teori konstruksi sosial. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa dalam film Dua Garis Biru (2019), tokoh perempuan lebih ditempatkan dalam posisi subjek dimana perempuan lebih bisa memperjuangkan haknya untuk tidak ditindas dan membuat dirinya setara dengan laki-laki. Konstruksi gender terlihat pada peran laki-laki yang akan selalu mencari nafkah dan perempuan yang diam di rumah padahal sebenarnya perempuan mampu berada diposisi yang sama dengan laki-laki. / Mass media constructs a gender role so it develops and creates a portrayal from a gender perspective in society. In Dua Garis Biru movie (2019), the researcher clearly saw the difference in treatment between men and women which formed the construction of gender meaning so that the researcher aimed to see how far the gender meaning in the film was. This research uses a qualitative and descriptive approach which will direct the picture of the meaning of women and men in the Dua Garis Biru movie (2019). In addition, the researcher uses Sara Mills's critical discourse analysis method through the position of the actor's subject-object in the film as well and position of the audience by selecting scenes that show gender inequality and linking them to social construction theory.The results of this study are that in Dua Garis Biru movie (2019), female characters are more placed in a subject position where women are more able to fight for their rights not to be oppressed and make themselves equal to men. Gender construction can be seen in the role of men who will always earn a living and women who stay at home even though women are actually capable of being in the same position as men.
