Abstract

Indonesia Berkuda is the first and only equestrian media in Indonesia until today. PT Rumput Liar was founded on 19 October 2010 as a business company, with one of their businesses being the Indonesia Berkuda magazine. With Jericho Gaffar as its current leader, PT Rumput Liar has pubslished six editions. The company is located at Rukan Taman Aries Kencana Blok D1/3P Meruya Jakarta Barat. A four-month internship, from 9 August to 30 December 2012, in form of a simple participant observation and also experience at Indonesia Berkuda had the purpose of understanding the process of writing feature news in equine matters. Working as an editor and reporter brought new experience and knowledge in terms of equestrian information in Indonesia. During the enactments of this internship, communication theories such as, Fisher’s Narrative Paradigm, Aristotle’s Rhetoric and Kenneth Burke’s Dramatism were applied to understand the various phenomena and later to explain them in this report. / Indonesia Berkudaa dalah media equestrian yang pertama dan satu-satunya hingga saat ini. PT. Rumput Liar dibentuk pada tanggal 19 Oktober 2010 sebagai perusahaan business, dan salah satu bidang usahanya adalah media majalah Indonesia Berkuda. Dengan Jericho Gaffar sebagai pengelola, PT. Rumput Liar telah mencetak sebanyak enam edisi. Perusahaan PT. Rumput Liar berlokasi di Rukan Taman Aries Kencana Blok D1/3P Meruya Jakarta Barat. Selain itu Indonesia berkuda adalah satusatunya media di Indonesia yang fokus pada aktivitas terkait yang dengan kuda. Kegiatan magang selama empat bulan, dari tanggal 9 Agustus hingga 30 Desember 2012, telah dilaksanakan dalam bentuk observasi partisipatori sederhana. Selain itu, pengalaman yang didapatkan di majalah Indonesia Berkuda bertujuan untuk memahami proses penulisan feature dalam bidang berkuda. Bekerja sebagai editor dan reporter, telah memberikan pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang mendalam tentang informasi equestrian di Indonesia. Selama melakukan kegiatan magang, teori-teori komunikasi seperti Narrative Paradigm, Rhetoric dan Dramatism diaplikasikan untuk memahami berbagai fenomena dan kemudian untuk menjelaskan fenomena-fenomena tersebut di dalam laporan ini.
