Proses pengerjaan tugas akhir bagi mahasiswa umumnya disertai berbagai tantangan yang menghambat penyelesaiannya. Penelitian sebelumnya oleh Duckworth (2007) menemukan bahwa salah satu sifat yang mampu mendorong individu dalam mencapai goalnya disebut sebagai grit. Penelitian kuantitatif ini fokus mengkaji pengaruh tingkat religiositas terhadap tingkat grit pada mahasiswa Universitas Pelita Harapan yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir. Hasil penelitian terhadap 83 responden ini menggunakan skala 4-BDRS (Saraglou, 2009) dan Short Grit Scale yang sudah diadaptasi dalam pemakaiannya di ruang lingkup mahasiswa Indonesia (Priyohadi, Suhariadi & Fajrianthi, 2019). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan hasil bahwa religiositas memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan positif terhadap grit dalam sampel populasi penelitian (r = .307, p = .005) dan religiositas menjelaskan sekitar 9.4% varians dari grit (R2= .094, F = 8.402, p = .005). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diuji dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu acuan bagi mahasiswa dan juga peneliti selanjutnya untuk memperhatikan pentingnya religiositas dan grit dalam skenario akademik. / The process of doing the final project for students is generally accompanied by various challenges that hamper their completion. Previous research by Duckworth (2007) found that one trait that is able to encourage individuals to achieve goals is called grit. This quantitative study focuses on examining the effect of religiosity on grit levels on Pelita Harapan University students who are working on their final project. The results of this study of 83 respondents used the 4-BDRS scale (Saraglou, 2009) and the adaptation of Short Grit Scale in the scope of Indonesian students (Priyohadi, Suhariadi & Fajrianthi, 2019). The results of this study discovers that religiosity has a significantly positive effect on grit in the study population sample (r = .307, p = .005) and religiosity explains about 9.4% of the variance of grit (R2 = .094, F = 8,402, p = .005). This shows that the hypothesis tested in this study can be accepted. In addition, the results of this study can be used as a reference for students and subsequent researchers to pay attention to the importance of religiosity and grit in academic scenarios.
