Indonesia is a country that has a very large population but with a disproportionate number of jobs, because of this many Indonesians are unemployed. One of the solutions to this problem is to carry out migration and seek work in other countries. Erwiana Sulistyaningsih, an Indonesian citizen who worked in Hong Kong as a migrant worker is one of many cases of Indonesian migrant workers abroad that need protection. Indonesia and Hong Kong are two countries that are members of the International Labor Organization or ILO which have regulations in the form of a Convention. Indonesia and Hong Kong also have international labor and labor protection laws. In this study, the material that the authors took was obtained from library materials called secondary data including laws, conventions, government regulations, legal journals, legal books, and expert opinions. The purposes of this research are to examine and analyze juridically how legal protection for Indonesian workers abroad seen from the ratified ILO conventions, also to find out what obstacles are experienced by Indonesian representatives in Hong Kong in protecting workers and what efforts can be taken in the resolution of Erwiana's case as an Indonesian worker in Hong Kong.
