Abstract

Reading is something that is fun for others, but also sometimes as a difficult thing to do because motivation ultimately affects reading ability and literacy levels. The problem of this motivation influence is often faced by students in class due to various factors, and is an important concern for teachers. Teachers must apply various ways to increase student motivation. Concept Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) is a frame works instructional method that combines reading strategy instruction, inquiry science, motivational support, reading science integration. This instructional framework is used during field experience activities in developing student motivation in learning with online learning situations which in the end get various results and show some of the obstacles faced. The purpose of this research is to see the impact of the application of Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction in online classrooms with method qualitative descriptive. The results obtained that the application of Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction can develop students' motivation and reading comprehension but must be accompanied by the quality of teacher competence, so it is suggested that teachers be sensitive to the established strategy and the need for self-evaluation of self-competence.
