Abstract

Dalam isu radikalisme, Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara yang memerlukan pergerakan yang gesit dikarenakan permasalahan ini cukup mengkhawatirkan. Indonesia memerlukan bantuan dari instansi atau organisasi terdekat seperti ASEAN untuk memperlancar serta menegaskan langkah-langkah yang diambil untuk mencegah serta menanggulangi secara efektif. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini akan berfokus terhadap penjelasan radikalisme serta terorisme berbasis radikalisme di Indonesia serta bentuk-bentuk kerja sama yang dilakukan dengan ASEAN guna menghapuskan ancaman yang mengkhawatirkan ini. Oleh karena itu, untuk mendukung penelitian ini maka teori dan konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini akan menggunakan teori liberal institusionalisme diikuti dengan konsep kerja sama internasional serta radikalisme. Seluruh data yang digunakan akan didapatkan dari studi kepustakaan mengingat pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan juga metode penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa Indonesia telah menghadapi permasalahan radikalisme sejak lama, rekam jejak radikalisme ini dapat ditarik hingga pada saat berakhirnya orde baru yang membuat rakyat Indonesia yang awalnya terkekang menjadi lebih bebas dalam berpendapat. Kebebasan berpendapat ini membuat para pemegang ajaran radikal mengambil kesempatan mereka untuk mencapai tujuan yang sejak lama ingin dicapai. Selain itu, hasil penelitian lainnya menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia telah bekerja sama dengan ASEAN melalui banyak pertemuan yang telah dilakukan. Terlebih lagi, Indonesia juga telah menghasilkan sesuatu dengan mengajukan bentuk kerja sama lain yang dinamakan Our Eyes Initiatives (OEI) yang pada akhirnya berubah menjadi ASEAN Our Eyes. / In context of radicalism, Indonesia is one of the countries that need to take a quick step of managing the problem as it has been very concerning. However, Indonesia need the help of its closest instances or organizations such as Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to take important steps to prevent and tackle the problem effectively. Regarding to that, this research will focus on explaining about radicalism-based terrrorism in Indonesia and the forms of cooperation taken with ASEAN to eliminate the threats of radicalism. With that said, to support this research, theory and concept used are the theory of liberal institutionalist followed by the concept of international cooperation and radicalism. All the data used are obtained from literature studies considering the approach used is qualitative and also the method used is descriptive. The result of this research is to show that Indonesia has tackled radicalism since a long time ago, the track record of radicalism can be drawn until the end of the New Order, which means that Indonesians who were restrained to have voices finally able to give their voices and opinions about the country and government. Freedom of speech make the people who are radicals to take the chance of achieving their long-time goal. Other than that, the result of this research also shows that Indonesia has worked with ASEAN through many meetings. Moreover, Indonesia has proposed and created a workplan to attract more cooperation through Our Eyes Initiatives (OEI) which then changed into ASEAN Our Eyes.
