Abstract

Membaca dalam kehidupan sangatlah dibutuhkan untuk dapat membantu seseorang mendapatkan infomasi yang lebih banyak. Untuk itu membaca perlu diajarkan sejak SD. Membaca yang diajarkan di SD dimulai dari membaca permulaan pada kelas I hingga membaca lanjutan pada kelas besar. Pada kenyataannya siswa SD kelas I sering mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan, temasuk siswa SD kelas IA di Lampung Banjar Agung. Hal tersebut meliputi kesulitan dalam belajar membaca permulaan, yaitu siswa tidak mengenal beberapa huruf, tidak dapat melafal tulisan dengan tepat, serta belum lancar dan jelas dalam membaca kata dan kalimat. Berdasarkan masalah kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan, maka peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan menggunakan metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik melalui metodologi penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) model “Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pada tanggal 06 November 2015, dan 11 November 2015. Subjek yang diteliti ialah siswa SD kelas IA yang berjumlah 31. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah lembar wawancara mentor, lembar observasi check list mentor dan teman sejawat, lembar rubrik, lembar umpan balik mentor, dan jurnal refleksi. Data yang diperoleh melalui instrumen diolah secara deskriptif, dan hasil yang diperoleh melalui alat pengumpulan data menunjukan adanya peningkatan dalam membaca permulaan melalui metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik./Reading is needed to help someone gets more information in life. Therefore, reading is needed since the elementary school. Reading which is taught from elementary school is begun with reading in beginner level until reading in intermediate level in the higher grade. In fact, grade I students often have difficulty in reading in beginner level and so have grade IA students at Lampung Banjar Agung. They had difficulties in reading in beginner level, such as students did not recognize some letter, students could not pronounce the writing correctly, and students could not read both of words and sentences fluently. Based on the problem found, the researcher decided to do the research to improve the students’ ability in reading by using structural analytical synthetic through classroom action research by kemmis and mc taggart. The research was conducted in two cycles on November 6, 2015 and November 11, 2015. The research subjects were 31of grade IA students. The instruments used were mentor interview sheet, mentor and college observation checklist, rubric sheet, mentor’s feedback sheet, and reflective journal. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively and the result of the research shows that there was an improvement in reading in beginner level through structural analytical synthetic method.
