Abstract

Pada Maret 2020 status COVID-19 ditetapkan oleh WHO menjadi pandemi dan penyebarannya mulai masuk hingga ke Indonesia. Bersamaan dengan itu, terjadi kelangkaan alat pelindung diri (APD) sehingga menimbulkan keprihatinan sekaligus kekhawatiran masyarakat Indonesia, salah satunya Influencer Rachel Vennya. Sebagai bentuk kepeduliannya Rachel Vennya melakukan penggalangan dana melawan COVID-19 dan berhasil mengumpulkan dana miliaran rupiah yang kemudian digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan APD di banyak rumah sakit di Indonesia. Peristiwa ini menjadi isu utama yang dikonstruksikan oleh Kompas.com dan Detik.com menjadi sebuah berita melalui proses pembingkaian media. Peneliti memilih empat berita dari kedua media ini untuk diteliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengkaji teks berita. Adapun rumusan masalahnya adalah bagaimana kedua media ini membingkai berita penggalangan dana melawan COVID-19 yang dilakukan Influencer Rachel Vennya? Mengetahui proses pembingkaian berita menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya kesamaan berupa dukungan sekaligus kritikan terhadap pemerintah namun beritanya dibingkai secara berbeda oleh kedua media ini. Peneliti menyarankan agar baik Kompas.com dan Detik.com menunjukkan sudut pandang dari narasumber lain demi keberimbangan berita dan untuk peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan lebih kritis dalam melihat peristiwa serta menganalisa berita yang dipilih. / In March 2020 the status of COVID-19 was determined by WHO to be a pandemic, and its spread began to enter Indonesia. At the same time, there was a scarcity of personal protective equipment (PPE), which caused concern and concern for the Indonesian people, one of whom was Influencer Rachel Vennya. As a form of concern, Rachel Vennya conducted fundraising against COVID-19. She managed to raise billions of rupiah in funds which were then used to meet PPE needs in many hospitals in Indonesia. This incident was the main issue that was constructed by Kompas.com and Detik.com to become news through the media framing process. The researcher chose four news items from these two media to be examined using descriptive qualitative methods by examining the news text. The formulation of the problem is how do these two media frame the news of fundraising against COVID-19 by Influencer Rachel Vennya? Knowing the news framing process is the aim of this research. The results of this research indicate similarities in the form of support as well as criticism of the government, but the news is framed differently by these two media. Researchers suggest that both Kompas.com and Detik.com show the point of view of other sources for the sake of news balance and for future researchers to be more critical in seeing issues and analyzing the selected news.
