Abstract
Motivasi merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam pembelajaran. Adanya motivasi akan mendorong siswa untuk belajar dengan baik. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah siswa sering tidak termotivasi yang terlihat dari kurangnya antusias, semangat dan partisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Permasalahan ini terjadi pada sebuah kelas di SMA XYZ Tangerang dalam belajar Physical Education (PE). Untuk itu dilakukanlah sebuah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan penguatan (reinforcement). Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah Model Kemmis & Mc Taggart yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI AB1 yang berjumlah 28 orang. Bentuk pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner siswa, observasi guru mentor dan teman sejawat, umpan balik mentor, serta refleksi peneliti. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dengan mencari rerata. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa reinforcement dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Peningkatan ini dibuktikan dari hasil observasi yaitu dari 73,2% di siklus I menjadi 83,96% di siklus II. Sedangkan hasil kuesioner dari 75,68% di siklus I menjadi 83,18% di siklus II. Hasil refleksi peneliti dan umpan balik mentor juga menjelaskan bahwa motivasi belajar PE dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan reinforcement./Motivation is an important thing that has to be taken into consideration during learning. With motivation, it will encourage students to learn well. The problem at hand is students often are not motivated. This can be seen through the students‟ lack of enthusiasm, passion, and active participation in learning. This problem occurred at SMA XYZ Tangerang in learning Physical Education. In order to fix this problem, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) to increase the learning motivation of the students through reinforcement. The model of research used is Model Kemmis & Mc Taggart which was done to 28 students of grade XI AB1. The data was collected through student questionnaires, observation sheet from teacher mentor and colleague, mentor feedback, and personal reflection. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics by looking for the mean. The result of the research showed that reinforcement can improve the motivation of the students. This improvement can be seen through the observation results from 73.2% in cycle I to 83,96 % in cycle II. The questionnaire results also showed an improvement from 75,68% in cycle I to 83,18% in cycle II. The researcher‟s personal reflection and mentor feedback also showed that motivation in learning PE can be improved through reinforcement
