Abstract
Perusahaan harus bekerja secara efisien agar suatu perusahaan mampu memenangkan persaingan dengan perusahaan lain. Itulah sebabnya pegawai harus diberikan motivasi agar mereka dapat bersemangat sewaktu bekerja. Dalam memotivasi pegawai, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa melakukan pemenuhan kebutuhan dan beberapa aktivitas komunikasi internal publik lainnya, dimana hal ini dapat meningkatkan motivasi pegawai dalam pencapaian kinerja yang baik, sehingga berujung pada pencapaian target suatu perusahaan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Bagaimana Aktivitas Komunikasi Internal Publik Dalam Memotivasi Pegawai PT. Berca Hardyaperkasa?. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam, observasi dan data sekunder, dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktivitas komunikasi internal publik dan pemenuhan kebutuhan yang dijalankan oleh PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa memberikan dampak yang positif. Aktivitas komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh internal publik adalah mengadakan sport competition, meeting, training, seminar, birthday event, reward event, chapel, dan traveling. Selain itu, dengan adanya pemenuhan akan kebutuhan menurut Teori Maslow, motivasi para pegawai dalam bekerja menjadi maksimal. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan jumlah pegawai yang achieve dari tahun 2010-2011, tidak adanya demo buruh atau pemogokan kerja, tingkat absensi yang baik dan kehadiran pegawai yang tepat waktu. Peneliti menyarankan agar PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa membuat aktivitas baru, seperti Man of the Year, Best Ten Achiever, dan Open House, dimana hal ini dapat menjadi motivasi yang baru kepada para pegawai setiap tahunnya/A company must work efficiently in order to win the rivalry against other companies. That is why employees must be given motivation so that they can attack their works with much ardor. In motivating employees, PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa fulfill needs and some other internal public communication activities, which can increase employees’ motivation to work well then leads to achieving the company target. The problem statement of the research is: How is the internal public communication activity in motivating PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa’s employees? The data is collected through deep interview, observation, and secondary data using qualitative descriptive approach. The result of the research shows that internal public communication activity and needs fulfilling done by PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa give a positive impact. The internal public communication activities done by the company were holding sport competition, meeting, training, seminar, birthday event, reward event, chapel, and travelling. Furthermore, according to Maslow’s theory, since there is a desire for needs fulfilling, the employees’ motivation to work reaches its highest point. This theory can be proven by an increasing number of employees who achieved their goals from 2010-2011, zero case of demos or work strikes, good absence, and employee’s on-time-arrivals. The researcher suggests PT. Berca Hardayaperkasa to create new activities such as Man of the Year, Best Ten Achiever, and Open House, which can be a new motivation to the employees each year.
