Abstract
Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sering ditemukan hambatan dalampenulisan kosakata, pelafalan kosakata dan pengertian kosakata. Kesalahan dalam penulisan atau pelafalan kosakata dapat menimbulkan masalah penafsiran bagi seseorang. Hasil observasi menunjukkan siswa kelas II pada sebuah sekolah dasar di Tangerang mengalami hambatan dalam memahami arti kosakata. Penggunaan media visual word wall dapat menjadi alternatif dalam meningkatkan peguasaan kosakata Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas II SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media visual word wall dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas II pada salah satu sekolah dasar di Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas terdiri atas prasiklus dan dua siklus, masing�masing dua kali pertemuan selama 35 menit. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada hari Kamis, 29 Oktober 2015 sampai Jumat, 6 November 2015. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa. Variabel yang digunakan adalah penguasaan kosakata dan media visual word wall. Indikator yang digunakan dalam mengukur keberhasilan
kosakata adalah kemampuan mendefinisikan kosakata. Indikator yang digunakan dalam mengukur keberhasilan penggunaan word wall adalah (1) pengenalan penulisan kosakata, (2) bunyi kosakata, (3) pemberian definisi kosakata, (4) kegiatan word wall dan (5) penempelan word wall pada dinding kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes, lembar angket siswa, lembar angket rekan sejawat, dan refleksi peneliti. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media visual word wall dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.Keberhasilan penggunaan media visual word wall dengan menggunakan langkah�langkah: (1) pengenalan penulisan kosakata, (2) bunyi kosakata, (3) pemberian definisi kosakata, (4) kegiatan word wall dan (5) penempelan word wall pada dinding kelas / Barriers on learning Bahasa Indonesia is often found especially on writing, pronunciation, and defining the vocabulary. Errors in writing and pronunciation can cause interpretation problems for someone. Observation result showed that
three barriers also occurred in second grade students of junior high school in Tangerang. The use of word wall visual media can be a good solution to improve on mastery Bahasa Indonesia vocabularies in second grade of junior high school
in Tangerang. Method that is used in this research is Class Action Research (CAR). Class Action Research consisted of pre-test and two cycles. Each cycle has two meetings. One meeting takes 35 minutes for each. This research started on
Thursday, October 29 2015 and ended on Friday, November 6 2015. The research subject consisted of 20 students. Variables that are used to measure are vocabulary skills and word wall visual media. Indicators used to measure the
success of vocabulary skills was defining of vocabulary mastery. Indicators used to measure the success of word wall visual media were (1) vocabulary introduction, (2) sound of vocabulary introduction, (3) vocabulary define, (4) word wall activity, and (5) sticking the word wall in the class. Instruments that were used in this research were test, students’ questioners, colleague’s questioners, and reflections. Data analysis are done by using qualitative technique.The result of this research showed that word wall visual media can improve students’ vocabulary mastery on Bahasa Indonesia subject. The success of the used word wall visual media can be fulfill if you do the following steps; (1) vocabulary introduction, (2) sound of vocabulary introduction, (3) vocabulary define, (4) word wall activity, and (5) sticking the word wall in the class.
