Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi peneliti di kelas 3 SD ABC Ambon yang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki keterampilan proses yang rendah pada pembelajaran IPA. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah karena siswa tidak dilibatkan secara langsung dalam proses pembelajaran IPA, sehingga pembelajaran IPA kurang menarik dan membosankan. Maka, peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan model inkuiri terbimbing dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui penerapan tahapan model inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan di SD ABC Ambon, sebuah sekolah Kristen swasta di kota Ambon. PTK dengan tiga siklus ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 September – 21 Oktober 2015. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar observasi penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing, lembar rubrik penilaian keterampilan proses, lembar angket siswa, lembar wawancara guru mentor dan siswa, dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian adalah penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas 3 SD ABC Ambon dengan tahapan model inkuiri terbimbing./This observation is based on the observation result in grade 3rd ABC school in Ambon which shows that most of students have lack in learning of Science. One of the reasons is because of students do not be involved directly in the learning process, so that the learning process is unattractive and boring. Therefore, the researcher decides to apply guided inquiry model to overcome that problem. The purpose of this observation is to improve the science process skills of the students through applying the stage of guided inquiry model. The method that be used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and it conducted in SD ABC Ambon, one of the private schools in Ambon. This CAR method used three cycles and was held on September 28th until October 21st , 2015. The instruments that be used to collect the data are observation sheet of guided inquiry model, rubric of skill assessments, questionnaire sheets, the interview sheet between students and teacher mentor, and the journal reflection. The result was analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. The researcher concludes that the result of the observation is the application of guided inquiry can improve science process skills of the students on grade 3rd ABC school Ambon by the stage of guided inquiry model.
