Abstract

Perilaku kolonial merupakan salah satu isu yang dianggap penting oleh Korea Selatan. Tuntutan permintaan maaf oleh Presiden Korea Selatan kepada Jepang merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mencerminkan identitas nasionalnya. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menyampaikan kepentingan Presiden Korea Selatan dalam bersikap vokal terhadap Jepang terkait perilaku kolonialnya di masa lampau. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperlihatkan perbadingan cara pendekatan Presiden Park Geun-hye dan Presiden Moon Jae-in dalam mengutarakan tuntutan negaranya. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, teori Konstruktivisme menjelaskan bahwa perspektif dan ide yang dibawa oleh tiap aktor negara dapat mempengaruhi keseluruhan dinamika internasional. Untuk itu penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode historis dan deskriptif, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka yang diperlengkapi dengan penelusuran daring. Terdapat empat hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini yang mengacu pada pertanyaan dari rumusan masalah yang diajukan oleh penulis. Keempat hasil tersebut menjelaskan tentang latar belakang sejarah terkait isu "Korean Comfort Women", kepentingan Presiden Korea Selatan untuk menuntut Jepang, respon Jepang menanggapi tuntutan tersebut, dan hasil akhir yang hendak dicapai melalui tuntutan yang diajukan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya kontroversi tuntutan oleh Presiden Korea Selatan terkait perilaku kolonial Jepang tahun 2013-2020 didasari oleh agenda permasalahan isu "Korean Comfort Women" yang belum terselesaikan. Agenda tersebut menjadi bahan pembahasan turun temurun dikarenakan bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan identitas nasional dari Korea Selatan. / Colonialism is one of issues that is contemplated by South Korea. One of the reasons that South Korean President intended to earn an apology from Japan is to show its national identity. This thesis ensue to discuss about South Korean President's interests to be vocal against Japanese colonial actions in the past. The purpose of this thesis is to present a comparison on how South Korean's Presidents, Park Geun-hye and Moon Jae-in deliver their requisitions. Due to that matter, the theory of constructivism believed that state actor's perspective and ideology are responsible to the dynamics in the international arena.. Therefore, the author of this thesis uses a qualitative approach in pairing with historical dan descriptive methods, and also equip by data collection techniques through literature study and online research. With reference to, there are four analysis results that refers to the research questions, which have been filed in this thesis. Those four answers define the background history of "Korean Comfort Women" issue, South Korea's Presidents consideration to demand an appology from Japan, Japan's responses due to that issue, and final results that possibly performed after the demand were filed. Hereof, it can be concluded that the controversy of apology demanded by South Korean President towards Japanese colonial behavior in 2013-2020 is based on the unresolved agenda of the "Korean Comfort Women" issue. This agenda has argued for generations because it aims to accomplish the national identity of South Korea.
