Abstract

Penguasaan kosa kata sangat diperlukan karena semakin banyak kosa kata yang dimiliki seseorang maka semakin banyak peluang atau kesempatan menyampaikan pendapatnya secara lisan maupun tulisan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada kelas satu Sekolah dasar. Penguasaan kosa kata siswa didalam kelas tersebut mengalami kesulitan. Hal ini sangat terlihat ketika dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa sulit untuk berkomunikasi antara satu sama lain, sulit memahami materi yang diajarkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengetahui apakah penggunaan media kartu bergambar meningkatkan kosa kata siswa kelas satu Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ialah siswa kelas 1B Sekolah Dasar XYZ di Tangerang-Karawaci, sebanyak 20 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama dua minggu, yaitu dari tanggal 05 November 2015 hingga 10 November 2015. Penelitian ini dijalankan dua kali siklus dengan satu kali prasiklus yang dilakukan untuk mengecek permasalahan didalam kelas dengan siswa sebanyak 20. Instrumen yang digunakan didalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan refkelsi pribadi. Data dapat diolah dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan dan peningkatan pada kedua indikator. Hasil penelitian dalam ini ialah: a). Siswa mampu memahami arti kata melalui menghubungkannya dengan gambar. siklus I sebesar 98,75% dan siklus II sebesar 95% . b). Siswa mampu menafsirkan makna kata melalui. Siklus I sebesar 61,25% dan siklus II sebesar 80%./Language is a communication tool for everyone. Language is an effective tool for creating a strong character and competitive students. Learn about language can improve language skills, specifically communication skills. Vocabulary mastery is needed because the more words that a person has, the more opportunity to express his/her opinion in oral form or in writing form. Based on the research that has been done in first grade of XYZ elementary school, the researcher found that the students had struggle in their vocabulary mastery. This was particularly noticeable when the students had difficulty in communication with others during Bahasa Indonesia subject. To resolve the issue, the researcher decided to use the flashcards as the media to improve the students' vocabulary. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted on Agustus 3 rd 2015 to November 13th 2015. This research was done in two cycles with one pre-cycle taken before to check the problems in the classroom within 20 students in the classroom. The instruments used in this research were test, interview mentor, mentor observation, and personal reflection. The collected data was processed by using qualitative analysis. The result of the research showed flashcards as the media based on the stages of implementation and also the display of an interesting media flashcard impacted and improved the students' Bahasa Indonesia vocabulary. The conclusion of the result proved that media flashcard is a suitable media to increase the students’ Bahasa Indonesia vocabulary.
