Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan bagaimana hasil belajar kognitif yang diproleh siswa ditinjau dari salah satu aspek kepribadian yaitu locus of control internal dan eksternal. Locus of control menggambarkan di mana letak keyakinan dan seberapa kuat kontrol pada individu, apakah kontrolnya yang menjadi dasar pembentukan serta penampilan tingkah lakunya itu bersumber dari dalam dirinya atau dari luar dirinya (Gunawan, 2010). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasional spearman rank correlation dibantu program SPSS 22. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD ABC Cikarang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Sebanyak 25 siswa atau 39,06% dari siswa Siswa kelas IV SD ABC Cikarang memiliki kecenderungan locus of control internal yang dominan. Skor hasil belajar kognitif yang diperoleh siswa dengan kecenderungan internal yaitu skor tertinggi 10 dan terendah 2. Rata�rata hasil belajar kognitif baik.(2) Siswa dengan kecenderungan locus of control eksternal yang dominan berjumlah 39 siswa atau 56,25%. Skor tertingi hasil belajar kognitif 10 dan skor terendah adalah 3. Rata-rata hasil belajar tergolong kategori cukup baik. (3) Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara locus of control internal dan eksternal dengan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan besar nilai signifikansi yang lebih besar dari 0, 05. Besar nilai signifikansi locus of control internal adalah 0,537dan locus of control eksternal sebesar 0,481./This research aims to see the correlation of students’ cognitive learning outcomes that is seen from one of personality aspects which is internal and external locus of control. Locus of control gives us the picture individual’s belief and how strong this individual’s control, whether this control could become the basic foundation as well as their appeared behaviors are come from either inside or outside themselves (Gunawan, 2010) The method used in this research is quantitative research in correlational technique. The hypothesis testing in this research is done by conducting Spearman Rank Correlation Test with SPSS 22. The population is all students of grade IV ABC elementary school Cikarang. The data was collected by using questionnaire and test. The result of this research shows that (1) 25 students or 39.06% students have the dominant tendency of internal locus of control. The result of their cognitive learning outcomes from students with internal locus of control tendency is 10 for the highest score and 2 for the lowest score. The average of the cognitive learning outcomes is good. (2) Students dominant tendency of external locus of control are 39 students in total or 56.25%. The highest score of cognitive learning outcomes is 10 and the lowest score is 3. (3) There is no significant difference between internal and external locus of control and students’ cognitive learning outcomes. This is proven by the significance value which is bigger than 0.05. The significance value for internal locus of control is 0.537 while the significance value for external locus of control is 0.481.
