Abstract

Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) bertujuan membentuk karakter siswa agar menjalankan hak dan kewajibannya sebagai warganegara yang baik. Hasil observasi menunjukkan kurangnya minat siswa terhadap PKn. Siswa terlihat tidak bersemangat, mengantuk, tidak memperhatikan, dan berbicara dengan temannya saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Mengatasi hal tersebut, maka diterapkan model pembelajaran picture and picture untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PKn dan mengetahui penerapan langkah-langkah model pembelajaran picture and picture. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang dilakukan selama tiga siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 03 Oktober sampai 27 Oktober 2016 di SD Kristen Lentera, Ambarawa. Subyek penelitian ini berjumlah 20 siswa di kelas IV B. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi guru mentor dan teman sejawat, lembar wawancara guru mentor, lembar wawancara siswa, dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran picture and picture telah berhasil meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas IV B terhadap mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) dengan langkah-langkah: 1) penyampaikan kompetensi; 2) menyajikan materi; 3) menunjukkan gambar-gambar berkaitan dengan materi; 4) menunjuk siswa bergantian memasang gambar menjadi urutan logis; 5) menanyakan dasar pemikiran urutan gambar; 6) menanamkan konsep sesuai kompetensi./Citizenship have a purpose to build the student’s character, so they can run their right and responsibility as a good citizen. The result of the observation show the lack of student’s interest on citizenship. Student had been passive, sleepy, didn’t focus, and kept talk with their friend during the lesson. To solve those problems, researcher applied picture and picture learning model to improve student’s learning interest in citizenship and to know the steps of picture and picture model. This research used classroom research (ptk) with kemmis and taggart model that did in three cycles. This research started on October 3rd, 2016 to October 27th, 2016 in lentera ambarawa Christian elementary school. Participants of this research were 20 students grade IV B. instruments had used were cooperating teacher and partner observation sheet, cooperating teacher interview sheet, student interview sheet, and reflection journal. The result of this research shown that implementation of picture and picture learning model can improve the student’s learning interest grade iv b in citizenship with steps: 1) explained the competency; 2) gave the material; 3) shown pictures about the material; 4) asked the student in order to arranged the picture become logic order; 5) asked the basic thought for the picture order; 6) built a concept based on the competency.
