Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan siswa masuk kedalam jenjang sekolah dasar. Pada anak usia dini berusia 4-5, kemampuan bahasa dan konsep siswa berkembang dengan kecepatan yang luar biasa namun peneliti menemukan di lapangan berdasarkan hasil observasi peneliti pada siswa kelas TK-A SKM Ngabang, ditemukan sejumlah siswa yang belum memahami konsep bilangan 6-10, salah satu penyebab ketidakpahaman yaitu karena penggunaan media pembelajaran yang tidak menarik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan media gambar dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bilangan 6-10 pada siswa TK-A. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model spiral Kemmis and Mc Taggart, penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dari tanggal 11 Oktober – 20 Oktober, dengan jumlah siswa 13 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah lembar tes, lembar wawancara, lembar observasi check list, jurnal refleksi dan umpan balik mentor. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bilangan 6-10, namun belum berhasil mencapai kriteria ketuntasan yang telah ditentukan yaitu sebesar 75%, beberapa hal yang menyebabkan yaitu daya tangkap siswa yang berbeda dan beberapa siswa yang tidak fokus saat pembelajaran./Early Childhood education is very important to prepare the students before entering primary education. For the students age 4-5 years old, literacy skill is improved very well but the researcher found out there were some students who had not understanding 6-10 numeracy concept because the teacher is not using an interesting media. The purpose of this research is to found out how pictures can improve kindergarten student's understanding on numeracy concept. The method used is Classroom Action Research with spiral model by Kemmis and Taggart. This research conducted in two cycles from October 11-20, 2016, with 13 students as sample. The instrument used to collect the data was test, interview, observation check list, reflection journal, and mentor's feedback. The result of this research showed that the use of pictures is able to improve kindergarten student's understanding on numeracy concept, but not succesfully reach the minimun standard of 75%. There are some factors the affecting the result such as students difference of capability and some students who did not focus during the learning process.
