Abstract

Education involves the role of teachers and students as a key component of the process. The role of teachers as teachers and educators and students as recipients of such learning. The learning process demands the active role of teachers and students. In the learning process, teachers need to deliver lessons by taking into account the stages of student development that makes the teacher different in viewing each individual student and different in every activity he does in the learning process. For this reason, this study was conducted with the aim to see how the application of teacher understanding about the stages of child development in the learning process This research is done by using qualitative research method and choose one research subject that is teacher of homeroom kindergarten A.1. This research uses data collecting technique that is observation, interview and documentary. The research instrument used is participative observation, semi-structured interview and documentary. This research will describe the teacher's understanding of the stages of child development being educated and how the application of that understanding in the learning process./Pendidikan melibatkan peran guru dan siswa sebagai komponen utama dalam prosesnya. Peran guru sebagai pengajar dan pendidik dan siswa sebagai penerima pembelajaran tersebut. Proses pembelajaran menuntut peran aktif guru dan siswa. Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru perlu menyampaikan pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan tahapan perkembangan siswa yang menjadikan guru tersebut berbeda dalam melihat setiap pribadi siswanya dan berbeda dalam setiap kegiatan yang dilakukannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk itulah penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk melihat bagaimana penerapan pemahaman guru tentang tahapan perkembangan anak dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan memilih satu subjek penelitian yaitu guru wali kelas TK A.1. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumenter. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumenter. Penelitian ini akan menjabarkan pemahaman guru tentang tahapan perkembangan anak yang dididiknya dan bagaimana penerapan dari pemahaman tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran.
