Abstract

Manusia telah hidup pada era modern di tengah banyaknya perkembangan teknologi. Teknologi tersebut dapat juga dimanfaatkan dalam bidang pendidikan, salah satu dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran multimedia. Multimedia yang merupakan gabungan dari beberapa media diharapkan dapat mengakomodasi kebutuhan siswa yang nantinya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan melihat pengaruh penerapan multimedia terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Proses penelitian berlangsung sejak 19 Juli 2016 sampai dengan 12 Oktober 2016. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan rancangan penelitian quasi-experimental dan model non-equivalent pre-test and post test control group design. Adapun teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas IV SDH Daan Mogot dengan jumlah siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebanyak 25 siswa sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebanyak 26 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah lembar tes pre-test dan post-test. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan multimedia dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan siswa dengan rata-rata n-gain sebesar 0,58, namun pengaruh yang diperoleh tidak signifikan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal tersebut dilihat berdasarkan nilai uji u mann-withney sebesar 0,499 yang lebih besar dari nilai α=0,05 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 5%./Human has been living in a modern era with many technological developments. That technological developments can also be used in education, for example using multimedia as learning media. Multimedia is a combination of some media that is expected to be able to accommodate students’ needs which eventually will increase their cognitive learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to find the influence of using multimedia toward students’ learning outcomes improvement. This research was held from July 19 2016 to October 12 2016. This research is a Quantitative research with quasi-experimental design and non�equivalent pre-test and posttest control group design model. Sample selection technique used is cluster random sampling. The research was conducted in fourth grade SDH Daan Mogot with the number of students in the experimental class was 25 students, while the control class was 26 students. The instruments used in this research were pre-test and posttest. The result of the research shows that the application of multimedia can increase students learning outcomes in Citizenship lesson with average 0,58 points, but that influence was insignificant therefore, it can be conclude that H0 are rejected and H1 are accepted. This result is based on the value of u Mann-Whitney test that is 0.499 greater than the value of α = 0.05 with 5% confidence level.
