Abstract
Hasil penelitian dilihat dari latar belakang terjadinya kerja sama hingga kepada proses kedua negara dalam mengimplementasikan poin-poin yang terkandung dalam kerja sama yang telah mereka sepakati./Indonesia as a country that has a Muslim population as majority is not free from the threat of terror. It even has the potential for fertile ground for terrorists to recruit members. The issue of terrorism itself is not only a problem for the Indonesian state, but a global problem that has a multidimensional level where these problems can exist at every level of society and in various forms along with the development of times and technology in this modern era. Terrorism can have an impact on the national security and stability of a country, in this case Indonesia and Australia, which are geographically close. The two countries in the end carry out bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorrism to tackle this issue, there is a need for synergy between countries in this matter. The cooperation between the two countries will use the theory of liberalism with the concept of interdependence. The dependence that exists between the two countries in overcoming this issue makes these theories and concepts the most relevant to discuss this topic. The data presented in this study uses secondary data through literature studies. The descriptive data analysis technique is used by the author to explain bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Australia in tackling the issue of terrorism in the region. The results of the research are seen from the background of the cooperation to the process of the two countries in implementing the points contained in the cooperation they have agreed on.
