Abstract
Setiap manusia yang telah mengalami penebusan Allah memiliki
kewajiban untuk memecahkan masalah dengan kemampuan yang dimilikinya. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam topik Peluang siswa kelas XI SMA Lentera Harapan Curug masih kurang. Masalah tersebut dapat diatasi dengan penggunaan model pengajaran langsung.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian
Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang berlangsung selama dua siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Lentera Harapan Curug kelas XI tanggal 28 Oktober 2014 hingga 21 November 2014. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan informasi meliputi: lembar tes siswa, lembar pengamatan oleh guru pamong, angket siswa, pedoman wawancara dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pengajaran langsung dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah topik peluang siswa kelas XI sebesar 38%. Penerapan model pengajaran langsung dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam topik peluang siswa kelas XI melalui : 1) penyampaian motivasi dengan gambar dan kisah inspiratif; 2) penggunaan ceramah interaktif, lembar ulasan materi serta alat peraga dalam penjelasan materi; dan 3) latihan terbimbing di dalam kelompok dengan menggunakan lembar kerja kelompok. / Every human who has experienced God’s redemptive has an
obligation to solve the problem their capabilities. The observations resultshown that the ability to solve the problem in the topic of Probability of grade XI of SMA Lentera Harapan Curug students was stills less. That problem can be solved by implementation of direct instruction model The researche method that was used was Class Action Research (CAR) with Kemmis and Taggart model that lasted in two cycles. This research was conducted at grade XI of SMA Lentera Harapan Curug from
October 28th, 2014 until November 21th, 2014. The Instruments that were used for collecting the information were students’ test sheets, mentor’s observation sheets, students’ questionnaire, interview guide, and reflection journal.
The research result shown that implementation of direct instruction model could increase 38% of the problem solving ability for topic probability in grade XI. The implementation of direct instruction model for increasing the problem solving ability in the topic probability in grade XI through: 1)
giving motivation with images and inspiring story; 2) using interactive lectures, sheet reviews the materials and visual aids in the explanation of the material; and 3) guiding exercises in groups using group work sheet.
