Abstract

The Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic affects all aspects of human life in the world. This has prompted the government to make efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic, including the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan through the PSBB Total Volume II. However, after the emergency brake policy was announced there was a wave of pros and cons. The media produced this phenomenon, including online media Republika.co.id and Tempo.co. The research was aimed at analyzing news framing related to PSBB Total Volume II by Anies Baswedan on the online media Republika.co.id as sectarianbased media and Tempo.co as a national-based media known for sharp news writing. This study uses a constructivism paradigm with a qualitative approach to the analysis method of Robert N. Entman's framing model. Research data collection was carried out with primary data, namely 16 news texts for the period 9 September 2020 to 11 October 2020 and secondary data, namely literature study. The results showed that the online media Republika.co.id showed a pro attitude towards DKI Jakarta's PSBB Total policy which emphasized the health aspect. Meanwhile, Tempo.co has shown a cover both side attitude towards the DKI Jakarta PSBB Total policy which emphasizes the health and economic aspects.
