Abstract
Siswa pada saat mengikuti pembelajaran sering menunjukkan sikap dan kondisi belajar yang kurang aktif dalam kelas. Hal tersebut merupakan permasalahan yang ditemukan oleh penulis pada saat melakukan penelitian di kelas VIIIA dalam sekolah Kristen swasta di Medan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: a) mengetahui penerapan cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar kelas VIIIA dalam pembelajaran Ekonomi, b) menjelaskan penerapan cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar kelas VIIIA dalam pembelajaran Ekonomi. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan selama tiga siklus. 2-19 September 2013 di Sekolah SM di Medan. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari lembar observasi mentor, kuesioner siswa dan jurnal refleksi penelitian yang akan diuraikan secara analisis deskriptif. Hasil perhitungan data penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar kelas VIIIA dalam kegiatan belajar aktif seperti bertanya, menjawab, berpendapat serta menyanggah selama kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung.

Students during the following study shows the attitude and conditions are often less active learning in the classroom. It is an issue that was found by the author at the time of the study in class VIIIA in a private Christian school in Medan. The purpose of this study are: a) know the implementation of STAD cooperative learning can improve learning activeness in learning Economy class VIIIA, b) clarify the application of STAD cooperative learning can improve learning activeness in learning Economy class VIIIA. The research methodology used in this research is classroom action research conducted during three cycles. 2-19 September 2013 at the School of BC in Medan. The research data obtained from observation sheets mentor, student questionnaires and reflection journal research will be described in the descriptive analysis. Data calculation results of this study indicate that the implementation of STAD cooperative learning can improve learning activeness VIIIA grade in active learning activities such as asking, answering, argue and argue for learning activities take place.
