Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, didapati bahwa kesulitan siswa adalah dalam memahami konsep pelajaran Ekonomi. Dibuktikan dengan hasil nilai rata-rata tes yaitu 33,90, hasil angket 49,6% dan didukung oleh hasil wawancara yang menyatakan bahwa siswa belum mampu memahami konsep. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode pembelajaran pembagian pencapaian tim siswa yang merupakan salah satu metode dari model pembelajaran kooperatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen di Medan pada 4-18 November 2014. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini yaitu apakah pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pembagian pencapaian tim siswa dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VIII dalam mata pelajaran Ekonomi materi pasar dan bagaimana pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pembagian pencapaian tim siswa dalam peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VIII dalam mata pelajaran Ekonomi materi pasar. Adapun tujuan penelitian yaitu menjawab rumusan masalah tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan penerapan metode pembagian pencapaian tim siswa, yaitu sebesar 21,42% pada siklus dari siklus satu ke siklus dua dan terjadi penurunan sebesar 18,14% pada siklus dua ke siklus tiga sehingga dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pembagian pencapaian tim siswa dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VIII dalam mata pelajaran Ekonomi materi pasar. Peningkatan tersebut diperoleh dengan cara siswa bekerja dan belajar di dalam kelompok secara heterogen, guru memaksimalkan waktu siswa untuk bekerja dan belajar di dalam kelompok dan penggunaan guided notes taking.

Based on observation, it was found that students’ difficulty is to understand the concept of Ecnomics. It was proven by the results the average test score is 33.90, questionnaire results 49.6% and supported by the results of the interview stating the students has not been able to understand the concept. This research used a class action research method with students team achievement division, one of methods of cooperative learning model. The subject of this research is students grade eight of Christian junior high school in Medan on November 4-18, 2014. The statement of the problem was to determine whether understanding of the concept of class students through student team achievement division happened and know how the process of the implementation of student team achievement division improved understanding of the concept. The purpose of this research is to answer the statement of the problem. The results of this research showed an increased understanding of the concept of students with the implementation of student team achievement division method, 21.42% from cycle one to cycle two and an descreaded 18.14% from cycle two to cycle three. The conclusion was cooperative learning type team achievement division students could improve their understanding of the concept of eighth grade students subject economics. The increase was obtained by students working and studying in a heterogeneous group, teachers maximize students’s time to work and learn in groups and used guided notes taking.
