Abstract

Indonesia memiliki kekayaan sumber daya alam yang berlimpah. Hal ini menjadikan banyaknya peluang bisnis bagi perusahaan-perusahaan asing yang bergerak dalam industri sumber daya untuk memanfaatkannya. Salah satu industri yang paling marak dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya adalah industri hulu minyak dan gas bumi. Demi kelancaran bisnis dari perusahaan minyak dan gas bumi asing, terdapat peraturan yang dibuat oleh pemerintah untuk dipatuhi perusahaan. Dalam peraturan tersebut, terdapat sistem Good Corporate Governance yang dibuat untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan dalam pelayanan kepada masyarakat sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab perusahaan minyak dan gas bumi asing kepada negara. Dalam mematuhi peraturan yang telah dibuat, dibutuhkan Public Relations yang bergerak untuk mengkomunikasikan kegiatan perusahaan terhadap stakeholders, baik itu yang berada di dalam perusahaan maupun dari luar perusahaan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara terjun langsung sebagai pegawai magang di Tately N.V dalam lingkup kerja Public Relations yang berada dibawah departemen External Relations / Government Affairs selama 640 jam serta mengerjakan tugas administratif maupun operasional. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat dibuktikan bahwa perusahaan Tately N.V yang bergerak di industri hulu minyak dan gas bumi telah menerapkan sistem Good Corporate Governance dengan acuan kepada Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 35 Tahun 2004 Tentang Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi. / Indonesia has produced enormous amount of natural resources. It gives a lot of opportunity for foreign companies in natural resources to explore and take benefits from it. One of the most prevalent industries in exploiting natural resources is oil and gas for upstream industry. In order to run the business from oil and gas industry, government has made a regulation to be obeyed by the companies. The mentioned regulation follows a system of Good Corporate Governance which made to increase the performance of oil and gas company to the country. In obeying all the regulations, Public Relations in overnment Affairs is needed to communicate company’s activities to government. The research is done by direct observation as an internship employee for Tately N.V on the scope of work of Public Relations at External Relations/Government Affairs department for 640 hours with administrative and operational duties. The result of the research proved that Tately N.V as a foreign oil and gas company in Indonesia has applied Good Corporate Governance system in reference to Government Regulations of Republic of Indonesia Number 35 Year 2004 Regarding Activites of Upstream Oil and Gas Enterprise.
