Abstract

Disiplin merupakan salah satu elemen penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Isu disiplin menjadi salah satu masalah yang sering dihadapi oleh guru di dalam kelas. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di sebuah sekolah Kristen XYZ di daerah Cikarang, Jawa Barat, ditemukan bahwa siswa memiliki masalah kedisiplinan selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Beberapa masalah yang muncul, seperti siswa tidak mematuhi prosedur kelas yang ada, menyela ketika guru atau teman sedang berbicara, dan beberapa siswa yang sering terlambat. Akibatnya, kelas menjadi kurang kondusif dan banyak waktu yang terbuang percuma. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menggunakan prosedur kelas sebagai tindakan perbaikan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan prosedur kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas IX di SMP XYZ. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode PTK atau Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian yang diambil adalah siswa kelas IX yang berjumlah 23 orang siswa, terdiri atas 11 siswa dan 12 siswi. Penelitian yang dilakukan selama tiga minggu, mulai dari tanggal 20 Oktober 2014 sampai dengan 9 November 2014. Peneliti menggunakan tiga bentuk instrumen, yaitu lembar observasi checklist mentor, kuesioner siswa, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif dan analisis kualitatif deskriptif yang mengacu kepada triangulasi data. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan prosedur kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas IX di SMP XYZ dan penerapan langkahlangkah prosedur kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas IX di SMP XYZ. Dalam menerapkan prosedur kelas, perlu adanya penandatanganan kontrak kerja untuk membantu mengatasi masalah komitmen siswa serta harus dilakukan dengan konsiten dan tegas. / Discipline is one of the important elements in the learning process. Issue of discipline became one of the problems frequently faced by teachers in the classroom. Based on the results of the observation conducted in a Christian school XYZ in Cikarang, West Java, found that students have trouble with their discipline during learning. Problems like students did not comply classroom procedures, interrupting when the teacher or their friend was talking, and some students were often late. As the result, the class was less conducive and wasted many times. Therefore, researcher applyed classroom procedure to solve the problems. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the implementation of classroom procedure can improve student’s discipline grade IX in XYZ Junior Highschool. Research was conducted by using Class Action Research . The subject is grade IX with 23 students, consist of 11 boys and 12 girls. Research conducted over three weeks, start from 20th of October 2014 up to 9th of November 2014. Researcher used three instruments, like observation checklist notes, questionnaire, and journal reflection. The data were analyzed with quantitative analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis referring to the triangulation of the data. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of classroom procedure can improve student’s discipline grade IX in XYZ Junior Highschool and the steps of classroom procedure can improve student’s discipline grade IX in XYZ Junior Highschool. In implementing the procedures class, the need for the signing of the employment contract to help address the problem of students as well as commitments had to be done and firmly.
