Abstract
Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan peneliti pada kelas X Social Basic 3 di sekolah ABC Karawaci, Banten, peneliti mendapati fakta bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari ketidakmampuan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal latihan yang diberikan setelah menyelesaikan salah satu sub-bab materi Pasar, serta hasil wawancara mentor juga menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa masih rendah. Selain itu, jurnal refleksi menjelaskan bahwa hampir sebagian besar siswa tidak mencatat apa yang telah dipelajari. Untuk menindaklanjuti kondisi tersebut maka peneliti melakukan penerapan strategi peta konsep. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan strategi peta konsep dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif kelas X Social Basic 3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & Mc Taggart dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan 29 orang siswa yang tercangkup didalamnya. Penelitian dilakukan pada 29 Oktober hingga 06 November 2015. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen berikut untuk mendapatkan informasi, yakni lembar tes dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan strategi peta konsep dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif kelas X Social Basic 3 pada topik Pasar di sekolah ABC. Hal ini terlihat dari keberhasilan siswa memperoleh peningkatan nilai hasil tes minimal sesuai dengan KKM sekolah yaitu 65 dengan persentase 82.76% pada siklus 1 menjadi 96.55% pada siklus 2.

Based on observations conducted by researchers at the class X Social Basic 3 in school ABC Karawaci, Banten, researchers found the fact that the cognitive achievement of students is low. This is showed from the inability of the students in doing the exercises given after completing one of the sub-chapter materials market, as well as interviews mentor also shows that student learning outcomes are still low. In addition, the reflection journal explains that most of the students do not record what they have learned. To follow up on these conditions, the researchers conducted the implementation of the strategy concept mapping. The purpose of this study was to determine whether implementation of the strategy concept mapping can enhance cognitive learning outcomes Basic Social class X 3. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) by Kemmis & Mc Taggart which consisted of two cycles and involved 29 students. The research was conducted on October 29th until November 06th, 2015. To obtain the necessary information, the researcher used students’ test paper and researcher’s journal reflection were used as the instruments in this research. The results showed the application of the strategy concept mapping can enhance cognitive learning outcomes of students of class X Social Basic 3 on the topic at school ABC Market. This is evident from the success of students gain increased value of the test results at least equivalent to KKM school at 65 with a percentage of 82.76% in cycle 1 to 96.55% in cycle 2.
