Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peranan guru dalam dunia pendidikan. Peran guru bukan hanya sekadar mentransfer ilmu, melainkan juga mendidik karakter siswa. Sementara itu, fakta yang terjadi sekarang, siswa menunjukkan bahwa mereka hanya menilai pelajaran dari skor. Mereka hanya mengejar Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) di dalam kelas, tanpa sungguhsungguh memberikan yang terbaik dari apa yang mereka mampu. Dengan kata lain, mereka tidak memiliki motivasi berprestasi untuk mencapai yang terbaik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa guru dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa serta mengetahui signifikansi hubungannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif desain korelasional dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05. Uji koefisien korelasi Spearman Rank dan program SPSS digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini adalah 88 siswa, sementara sampel yang diambil sebanyak 22 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat hubungan positif antara kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa guru dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai koefisien korelasi yang dihasilkan positif, sebesar 0,642. Hubungan kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa guru dengan motivasi berprestasi siswa ini dinyatakan signifikan. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi dari hasil uji korelasi (0,001) < dari taraf signifikansi (0,05). / This research was motivated by the importance of the role of teachers in education. The role of teachers is not merely transferring knowledge, but also educating the students‟ characters. Meanwhile, the fact happening now is, students are showing that they only value lessons from grades. They only pursue the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) in the classroom, without really giving the best of what they are capable of. In other words, they do not have the achievement motivation to attain the best. The objectives of this research were to determine that there was a relationship between student-teacher personality competence and students achievement motivation and the significance of the relationship. This research was a quantitative research correlational design with a 0.05 level of significance. Spearman Rank correlation coefficient test and the SPSS program were used to analyze the data. The population of this research was 88 students, while the samples taken were 22 students by using purposive sampling technique. The results of this research confirmed that: (1) There was a positive relationship between student-teacher personality competence and students achievement motivation. This was evident from the value of the correlation coefficient, which was positive 0.642. Also, the relationship between studentteacher personality competence and students‟ achievement motivation was significant. This was evident for the value of significance result of correlation (0.001) < than the level significance (0.05).
