Abstract
The goal of this research is to find the relation between motivation and
discipline towards work performance of teachers Sekolah XYZ Bandung. Latest
observations and evaluations of the teachers of Sekolah XYZ has shown that the
motivation, the discipline and the work performance of the teachers have been
decreased significantly in these two years. These phenomena encourage the writer
to find out the influence of motivation and discipline of teachers to the work
performance of teachers in Sekolah XYZ Bandung.
The method chosen for this research is quantitative method using
questionnaire to get the data needed in order to find out the level of motivation,
discipline and work performance of Sekolah XYZ, as well as to find the
relationship between the two independent factors which are motivation and
discipline toward the work performance of the teachers. The questionnaire is
taken by 31 teachers of Sekolah XYZ Bandung.
The data shows that the level of motivation, discipline and work
performance of teachers in Sekolah XYZ Bandung are at medium level which
means there are rooms to improve in order to increase the quality of education in
Sekolah XYZ Bandung. Data also shows that motivation and discipline factors
affect as high as 79.9 % to the work performance of teachers in Sekolah XYZ
Bandung. / Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara
motivasi dan disiplin kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah XYZ Bandung.
Hasil observasi dan evaluasi di Sekolah XYZ Bandung menunjukkan adanya
penurunan motivasi, disiplin kerja dan kinerja guru sekolah XYZ. Fenomena ini
mendorong penulis untuk melakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari
motivasi dan disiplin kerja pada kinerja guru Sekolah XYZ Bandung.
Metode yang dipilih untuk penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan
menggunakan survey untuk mendapatkan data yang dibutuhkan dalam rangka
mengetahui level dari motivasi, disiplin dan kinerja guru Sekolah XYZ, selain
tentunya mencari pengaruh dari dua variabel bebas yaitu motivasi dan disiplin
guru terhadap kinerja kerja dari para guru. Survey dilakukan pada 31 orang guru
Sekolah XYZ.
Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa level motivasi, disiplin kerja dan
kinerja guru SekolahXYZ berada dalam kategori sedang yang berarti banyak
ruang yang perlu diperbaiki untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru. Data yang sama
juga menunjukkan faktor motivasi dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh hingga 79,9%
terhadap kinerja guru di sekolah XYZ Bandung.
