Orkes gambang kromong Betawi adalah perpaduan antara gamelan dan musik Barat dengan nada dasar pentatonis bercorak Tionghoa. Keragaman atas campuran budaya membuat kesenian ini layak dilestarikan. Salah satu langkah pelestariannya adalah melalui perekaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis teknik perekaman stereo yang menjadi preferensi pendengar. Teknik perekaman yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah XY, AB, ORTF, NOS, dan Mid-side. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan penggunaan uji hedonik dan wawancara dari responden ahli dan responden non ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi dari responden ahli adalah teknik perekaman stereo XY pada jarak 120 cm, dengan persentase penilaian baik dan sangat baik tertinggi dibandingkan sampel lain, yaitu sebesar 54,55%. Hasil penelitian pada responden non ahli menunjukkan bahwa teknik perekaman stereo NOS pada jarak 120 cm menjadi preferensi dengan persentase penilaian baik dan sangat baik tertinggi dibandingkan sampel lain, yakni 65,22%. / The Betawi gambang kromong orchestra is a combination of gamelan and Western music with Chinese pentatonic key notes. The diversity of cultural mixtures makes this art worth preserving. One of the preservation steps is through recording. The aim of this research is to analyze the stereo recording technique that prefered by the respondents. The recording techniques used in this research were XY, AB, ORTF, NOS, and Mid-side. This research uses qualitative methods, using the hedonic test and interviews from expert respondents and non-expert respondents. The results showed that the preference of the expert respondents was the XY stereo recording technique at a distance of 120 cm, with the highest percentage of good and very good ratings compared to other samples, namely 54.55%. The results of research on non-expert respondents showed that the NOS stereo recording technique at a distance of 120 cm was the preference with the highest percentage of good and very good ratings compared to other samples, namely 65.22%.
