Information Technology is growing rapidly; therefore it influences companies to utilize the technology. According to the current situation that the company is facing, the old system at PT. Duhita Veem is unsuitable to perform business operations. The purpose of this thesis is to build a computer based information system which can help to maintain their data management. The company has difficulties in data store and processing because they do not have any application at the present which can help their activities. This thesis produces tables for database, forms and reports for the application, and DFD, ER, Structure chart, data dictionary for the documentation. The computer based information system which will be developed is including the database design and application. The application provides several features, such as generating receipt, and producing report of the transactions. This application is built by using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access. It is believed that the proposed system is able to fulfill users’ information requirements, easy to use, and can be accessed immediately.
