Abstract

This research discusses on the trend between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), inflation, employment-to-population ratio, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in selected ASEAN countries. The Research data were taken from World Bank website at address www.WorldBank.org. Data were analyzed using Excel 2010. Graphical and tabular analysis were done. Findings showed that in Malaysia and Thailand, the increase in FDI corresponded with the increase in the level of inflation. However, FDI inflow does not show increases in employment level in all selected countries. Lastly, the increasing trends in FDI corresponded with increasing trends in GDP in all selected countries.
