Abstract

Program pendidikan profesi ners dibentuk untuk menghasilkan perawat yang kompeten dan professional. Dalam menjalankan program profesi ners, mahasiswa dapat mengalami stres. Perlu adanya mekanisme koping untuk meringankan stres, karena stres dapat menghambat produktifitas mahasiswa dalam menjalankan program profesi ners. Penelitian ini adalah correlation study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program profesi ners Universitas Pelita Harapan. Sampel yang diambil sejumlah 40 mahasiswa dan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner skala likert. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat. Data yang dihasilkan berupa skala interval dan dianalisis dengan uji korelasi Pearson secara komputerisasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 30 mahasiswa (75%) mengalami tingkat stres sedang dan 10 mahasiswa (25%) mengalami tingkat stres ringan. Seluruh mahasiswa menggunakan mekanisme koping adaptif. Hasil analisa bivariat yaitu tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat stres dengan mekanisme koping dengan nilai p = 0,206 dengan batas kemaknaan (alpha)=0,05 dan 95% confidence interval. Saran peneliti pada mahasiswa profesi ners agar dapat mempertahankan koping mekanisme adaptif dalam menanggulangi keadaan stres. / Education program for Ners profession is created to produce competent and professional nurses. In this profession program, the students may experience stress. They need coping mechanism to reduce the stress, because stress may negatively influence student s productivity to complete the profession program. This type of research is a correlation study. The population of this study consists of nursing students in the profession program, with total sample of 40 nursing students. The sample was taken using total sampling technique. Instrument used in this study was Likert scale questionnaire. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. Data generated in the form of an ordinal scale was analyzed using Pearson correlation computer program. The result of this research is 30 students (75%) have moderate level of stress and 10 students (25%) have mild level of stress. All students used adaptive coping mechanism. And the final result shows that there is no relationship between level of stress and coping mechanism with p value = 0.206, alpha 0.05 and 95% confidence interval. The recommendation for nursing students in the profession program is to maintain the adaptive coping mechanism.
